About Us

The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

We have one the nations largest Relay For Life events in Lacey Washington, Relay For Life of Thurston County each June. We Celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost to cancer and fight back as a community through advocacy and as a team united.
