About Us

Welcome to North Thurston Public Schools! We began in 1953 as a small rural district and have continued to grow - currently the 23rd largest district in the State of Washington! Our student population is the most ethnically diverse in the South Sound and covers 74 square miles serving Lacey and northeast Thurston County. See boundary maps

With 15,200 students & 2,100 employees, we serve the community with:
13 Elementary Schools (Pre-K through 5th grade)
5 Middle Schools, including a performing arts magnet school (6th through 8th grade)
3 Comprehensive High Schools (9th through 12th grade)
1 High School of Choice
